Deadly Bridges on FM 696 Finally Being Replaced
A grassroots effort produced a petition that resulted in two bridges being replaced. The petition, which was drafted in March 2008, called for the replacement of the bridge over the Pin Oak Branch of the Yegua Creek on FM 696 west of Lexington. It was signed by residents throughout Lee County. Full Story

Eagles Fall to #2 Mumford
The talented Mumford Mustangs ran past the Lexington Eagles 79- 47 Tuesday night. Mumford jumped out to a 24-8 lead in the first quarter and kept their feet on the accelerator the rest of the game. Lexington could run with the Mustangs but could not match their ballhandling and shooting skills. Full Story
Lady Eagles Quiet Mumford
Lexington improved to 4-3 for the young 2009-10 season with a 26-24 win over the Mumford Mares. Lexington used a stall for nearly two minutes in the fourth quarter to preserve the win. The Lady Eagles used their ball handling skills to keep Mumford at bay. Lexington failed to score in the fourth period but withheld the ball from Mumford to earn the win. Full Story

Mumford beat Lexington for the second time in a week to win the Dime Box Tourney Saturday. Lexington lost 65-49 as they narrowed the difference in the game from Tuesday night.
