Louise B. Richards
Louise B. Richards was born September 24, 1921 in Hearne, Texas to Harry David and Bertha Margaret (Gode) Beaumont. She was a graduate of Hearne High School. Louise attended Texas Womens University and graduated from University of Texas in Austin where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.
On March 12, 1945, she and Robert Claude “Red” Richards were married. Louise was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Rockdale. She had worked for the City of Rockdale and retired in the mid 1980’s from Texas Department of Public Welfare as a caseworker. Louise shared Red’s love of antique cars and was active for over 20 years in Austin Chapter of Horseless Carriage Club of America. They spent their retirement in the Rio Grande Valley and RV’ing across America.
Louise passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in the Georgetown Hospital, reaching the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Red Richards on September 8, 1986, and her parents.
Surviving, Daughters, Janet Rader of Round Rock and Roberta Tillery of Waller. Sister, Marjorie Quick of Georgetown. Eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three nephews and three cousins.
Graveside services were Saturday, November 28, 2009 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Dale Chrisman officiating.
Serving as pallbearers, Floyd Brockenbush, Robert Brockenbush, Paul Brockenbush, Andrew Brockenbush, Wayne Voigt and Chris Hubbard.
