Blue Santa Program of Lee County Kicks Off

Jesus is the reason for the Season. Putting big smiles on little faces is the goal of the Blue Santa Program sponsored by the Lee County law enforcement agencies.

Beginning November 22, we will begin taking the names of needy children. On November 23, we will start taking donations of Auction items. These may be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office or Circle W. You can call the Sheriff’s office or the Giddings Police Department to have your items picked up.

On December 5, the Annual Fund Raiser and Auction will be held at Circle W beginning at 5:00 p.m.

On December 19, there will be Gift Wrapping at the Lee County Jr. Livestock Show Building, from 8:00 a.m. until finished. Volunteers are needed to help with the gift wrapping.

Gifts may be picked up at the rodeo arena on December 20 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and December 21 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. On December 23, we will start delivery of gifts if they are not picked up. Donations of toys or cash may be taken by the Sheriff’s Office or call and we will be glad to pick them up.

To volunteer or to make donations, you can call the Sheriff’s Office at 542-2800 or the Giddings Police Department at 542-2700.
