Florence F. (Niemtschk) Wolf

March 19, 1921 - October 28, 2009

Funeral services for Florence F. (Niemtschk) Wolf, 88 of Giddings, Texas are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2009 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Jeremy Walloch and Rev. Edwin Schwanke officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings Memorial Park in Giddings. Visitation will be held Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. A Prayer Service will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wolf passed away early Wednesday morning at the Park Manor of Conroe in Conroe, Texas from a longtime battle and complications with Dementia/ Alzheimer's.

Florence was born March 19, 1921 in Claredon, Texas. She was one of five children to Willie & Erna (Reuther) Niemtschk. She married Alfred H. Wolf on February 17, 1936 at Lincoln, Texas. The Wolf 's owned and operated Wolf's Grocery in Giddings for over 30 years until their retirement in 1979. Florence was an active member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings. She spent countless hours working in her yard and was an excellent cook.

Mrs. Wolf was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred H. Wolf; her brother, Floyd (Sonny) O. Niemtschk and her half-sister, Cornelia Wolf Rogers.

Survivors include sons, Fred "Jim" Wolf and wife, Barbara of Giddings, Texas and Douglas Gene Wolf and wife, Betty of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Wolf of Austin, Texas, Shaun Wolf and wife, Rebecca of Austin, Texas and Jason Haugh and wife, Christina of Conroe, Texas; great grandchildren, Kirsten Wolf of Austin, Texas and Madeline Haugh and Jackson Haugh of Conroe, Texas; sisters, Ruby Coutorie of Houston, Texas, Gladys Harris of Magnolia, Texas and Pearl Kieffer of Montgomery, Louisiana; sister-in-laws, Bobbie Wolf of Smithville, Texas, Louise Niemtschk of Channelview, Texas, Claudia Moerbe of Houston, Texas and Erna Wolf of Austin, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shannon Wolf, Shaun Wolf, Jason Haugh, Wendell Niemtschk, Michael Coutorie and Edmund Jatzlau.
