Lee County T.E.A. Party held a "Freedom Rally" on the square in Lexington, Saturday Oct, 24th. In beautiful weather, a good crowd turned out for the rally to protect our freedoms. "The beautiful weather today was as if God parted the rain for our efforts!" "Preacher Joe" and "SAM & DAVE" started the day with some classic country & rock music, some folks in the crowd joined in to karaoke a few songs. After a prayer by 'Preacher Joe" and the pledge of allegiance led by James Martinez, Taylor Re'ne Ramos sang the National Anthem. Jennifer got the crowd excited and boosted morale with a rousing speech about our freedoms. Preacher Joe spoke about God & our country. Mark Boldger addressed the crowd regarding 'free markets' in comparison with Socialism & Communism. Carol Smith honored our Veterans.

Lucas Sheffield, a representative from Michael McCaul's office, was there to update the group about what is currently going on in Washington DC. Lucas also fielded many tough questions from the crowd of concerned citizens. He spoke about McCaul's current fight by petition to be on the ballot. Lee County T.E.A. Party was also supported by Trinity Christian Co-op with their tasty baked goods sale and the Burleson County T.E.A. Party. "It was a bit disheartening having today's speakers support us with facts that today's freedoms are in peril, but they proved our grassroots efforts are needed more than ever." "Funny thing about T-Parties; you may not want to come, but when you do, you don't want to leave!" said "Preacher Joe"
