Lexington Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Intoxication Manslaughter
Gene Brian Ender, 35, of Lexington was sentenced to ten (10) years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for a charge of Intoxication Manslaughter. Sentencing took place in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County on Monday, November 2, 2009.
Judge Reva Towslee-Corbett handed down the sentence which included a $5,000 fine and a two (2) year suspension of his driver's license upon release. In addition, he was assessed $500 in court costs and fees.
The charge resulted from a two car accident in which Darlene Sisk, 44 of Rockdale, and Sherri Korsmo, 47 of Cameron, were killed. The accident occurred on FM 696 West near CR 309 on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 6:46 p.m.
Ender, who was critically injured in the accident, pled guilty to the charge.
