Lexington Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Intoxication Manslaughter
Gene Brian Ender, 35, of Lexington was sentenced to ten (10) years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for a charge of Intoxication Manslaughter. Sentencing took place in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County on Monday, November 2, 2009. Full Story

Eagles Jolt Jarrell
Lexington ran, passed, and defended their way to a 50-20 win over Jarrell in their 2009 regular season finale Friday. Lexington jumped out to a 22-0 first quarter lead and never relinquished control of the game. The win propelled the Eagles into the 2009 AA state playoffs. Full Story
Buffs Secure Playoffs
The Giddings Buffalos trampled Smithville 55-14 Friday night to secure a playoff bid from District 25-AAA. The Buffs scored from in close and long range in amassing a 42-0 halftime lead. Marcellus Mack scored on the first bomb from 62-yards out. Deladrick Britton ran it in from seven-yards out for the second score. Full Story
Boys CC to Regional
The Eagle Cross Country team qualified for Regional this past week in a meet run on Wednesday instead of Monday. The reason for the delay was the heavy rains over the entire area made cross country courses too soggy for competition. On Wednesday, the course at Salado was dry enough for competition. The course was flat for the girls and hilly for the boys. Full Story
Eagle JV Falls to Jarrell
The Eagle JV lost their last game of the season to Jarrell 18-16. Lexington was leading at halftime, but could not keep the homestanding Cougars from scoring in the second half. Lexington took the lead via a safety. Ray Gardner tackled the Jarrell quarterback in the end zone for the safety. Jason Washington was the next to score on a fouryard run. Full Story
