Rep. Tim Kleinschmidt Named 2009 Fighter for Free Enterprise

State Rep. Tim Kleinschmidt was recently named a Fighter for Free Enterprise by the Texas Association of Business (TAB) for his strong pro-business voting record during the 81st Legislative Session. Kleinschmidt scored an 82 for his voting record, reflecting his support of Texas businesses and his commitment to creating jobs in Texas.

This Fighter for Free Enterprise accolade is one of TAB's most prestigious legislative awards. Fighters must have scored 80% or better on the key issues important to Texas companies and employers to receive this award.

"District 17 has a legislator who understands the needs of business," said TAB President Bill Hammond. "Tim Kleinschmidt is a powerhouse in supporting business legislation resulting in job creation, economic expansion and opportunity for all Texans."

Kleinschmidt is currently serving his first term in the Texas House of Representatives. Representative Kleinschmidt is a Lee County attorney, rancher, familyman and civic leader. A longtime city attorney for the cities of Giddings and Lexington, Kleinschmidt has practiced law for 28 years in Central Texas.
