Country Music Monday

Jeff Woolsey, the talented and powerful singer of country music, brings the best of a traditional style of country music to the state of Country Music Monday on November 2nd. Country Music Monday is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Giddings with the Monday, November 2nd performance beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Sons of Hermann Hall on Highway 77 south of Giddings.

Jeff began his musical career at the age of four performing with his father's band and through the ensuing years has polished his voice and brought together bands to compliment his outstanding vocal talents. He has made a name for himself throughout Texas especially in the Houston area as well as states along the East Coast.

He has had four very successful CD's with the latest being "Jeff Woolsey and the Dancehall Kings." This CD contains twelve great songs, including some from Buck Owens, Mel Street, Johnny Paycheck, and Bill Anderson. All of Jeff's CD's have had most favorable comments and considerable airplay. He received more recognition when he and his band were named "Band of the Year" in the Houston area for Coors Lite Texas Music. His work with some of the country's biggest stars, including George Jones, Tim McGraw, Neal McCoy and Toby Keith, have made him a sought after performer for numerous occasions.

After years of performing 140 engagements a year, he realized he wanted to get back to his roots performing his preference, "Traditional County Music." If you enjoy listening to good country music you will not want to miss the enthusiastic, toe tapping delightful music he will present at this month's Country Music Monday.

Complimenting the Jeff Woolsey performance will be Paul Schlesinger, Julianne McBride, Spencer Schneider and the regular Country Music Monday back up band. The ticket price is $3.00 with doors opening at 5:15 p.m.

Mark your calendars for the first of 2010's Country Music Monday held on January 4th at the beautiful new Giddings High School Auditorium.
