Giddings Police Report

October 13, 2009

Giddings Police Department received a request to apprehend for a subject with outstanding warrants from Lavaca County. The subject in question was Danielle Hudgen. Officer Spencer and Cpl. Carvin located Hudgen at 261 Sunrise. There were two outstanding warrants for Theft by Check from Lavaca County. Hudgen was transported to the Lee County Jail without incident.

October 15, 2009

At approximately 10:26 a.m. Officer Ramirez met with a complainant at the Giddings Police Department in reference to theft. Complainant identified as David Posas stated that someone took a diesel fuel pump off of his work truck. Posas stated that he had a male subject working on his truck and was supposed to get a new fuel pump. Posas stated that when the worker went back to the truck he noticed that the front hood was partially opened and the fuel pump was missing. Posas stated that the cost for replacement would be approximately $500.00. Case pending further investigation.

October 16, 2009 At approximately 12:56 a.m., Office Griffin responded to 550 N. Harris St. in reference to a residence that had been broken into. The resident, Amanda Marie Palomo stated an X-box video game system, along with 1 controller was taken. She was unable to provide a suspect description. No other information.

October 16, 2009

At 4:12 p.m. Officer Spencer was dispatched to the Dollar General in reference to a prior theft. Angelica Perez reported that a male subject entered the store and stole two movies and some eye liner. The case is under investigation.

October 17, 2009

At approximately 12:01 a.m., Officer Griffin responded to the Buc-ee's located at 2375 E. Austin in reference to an employee finding a marijuana cigarette in the parking lot while he swept. The drug was turned into the property room. No other information.

October 17, 2009

At approximately 6:13 a.m., Lt. Harney received a call from dispatch in reference to a burglary that occurred at 922 S. Main Street, Cardenas Restaurant. Upon arrival at the scene, he met with Cesar Cardenas who is the owner's son. Mr. Cardenas said that sometime during the night someone took the screen off of a window and broke the window with an unknown object. Mr. Cardenas checked the inside of the business and it did not appear to him that anything was missing. Case under investigation.

October 17, 2009

At approximately 9:16 p.m. Officer Griffin responded to 596 E. Austin, Lone Star Market/Citgo, in reference to a Found Property (wallet) call-for-service. On Sunday, 10-18-09, the owner, Christopher Travis Wafful of San Antonio, returned to pick up his wallet. No other information.

October 18, 2009

At approximately 8:41 p.m. Sgt Ramsey received a call from dispatch in reference to subjects "tagging" the pumps at Stop N Shop at 389 W. Austin. Dispatch gave a vehicle description and direction of travel of the suspects. Officer Griffin and Sgt. Ramsey were unable to locate the vehicle. Photos were taken of the graffiti.
