City Council to Meet Wednesday

The Lexington City Council will meet in Regular Session on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Woodson Community Center. Following the call to order by the Mayor, welcoming guests and citizen input, the Council will approve minutes of previous meetings and approve payment of the bills for September, 2009.

Items on the agenda include discussion and possible action regarding harassment by a police officer presented by Ronnie Bryan; discussion and possible action regarding disposition of the 2002 police car.

Tony Tavary and Lori Barnikow will present a report from the committee on the future City Hall.

The Council will discuss closing business at City Hall for two days while moving and setting up at the new location.

There will be discussion regarding putting out for bid the janitorial service for the future City Hall and the Police Station.

The Council will discuss a resolution indicating the City of Lexington's interest in applying for a State Energy Conservation Office Grant.

Following reports from Finance/Budget by Pam Cox and Chief Davenport's Police Report, the meeting will adjourn. NOTE: City Council may go into executive/closed session on one or more of the above agenda items in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Government Code, Chapter 551.
