Giddings Library News Corner

The Giddings Public Library has recently received several new large print fiction books, romance, mystery, suspense, and westerns. Some westerns are Bloody Gold by Chet Cunningham, Bullet Brand by Bradford Scott, Outlawed by Jackson Cole, The Ridgerunner by Ray Hogan, and Salt-Lick Range by Lauran Paine.

For those of you who like the Sisterhood series by Fern Michaels, Book 13 Under The Radar is now available. The Perfect Poison by Amanda Quick is a romantic suspense featuring Caleb Jones and Lucinda Bromley searching for a murderer using a secret stolen poison.

Johanna Lindsey fans can check out two of her romances—A Rogue Of Their Own and When Love Awaits. A Rogue Of Their Own is an historical romance during the time of Queen Victoria, When Love Awaits features Lady Leonie and the Lord of Kempston.

In regular print, Black and Decker has a series of home improvement books including The Complete Photo Guide To Home Improvement, The Complete Guide To Plumbing 4th Edition, The Complete Guide To Roofing, Siding & Trim, and The Complete Guide to Decks. Climate Change by Angela Roystom is certainly appropriate reading for this age.

Of special interest is Blue Bell Ice Cream-A Century Of The Little Creamery In Brenham, Texas 1907-2007. The book tells about the people and cows that make Blue Bell famous and is filled with historic photographs, vintage ads, and interesting facts starting from the time that Blue Bell didn't even make ice cream. You'll want to read this book which also tells about ice cream flavors and how they are developed.
