8th Grade- Academy scored early and often running up a 22-0 lead before Lexington could get on the scoreboard, which was a pass from Eriq Mitchell to Corey Strain. Mitchell ran in the PAT to make the score 22-8. Mitchell scored behind the blocking of Allen Junek and Colt Sunvison. Academy scored once more before the game was halted due to lightening being too close to the playing field. Nigel Cleveland led the defense with 6 tackles, Mitchell had 6, Colt Sunvison 3, Corey Strain 3, Noble Little 2, Derek Dane, Gabriel McMahon, and Allen Junek had one each.
7th Grade- Academy dropped the 7th grade Eagles 12-6 scoring twice in the last 45 seconds for the victory. Lexington had forged a 6-0 lead on an 80-yards pass play from W.E. Meuth to Andrew Lane. Meuth was able to get the pass off due to improved blocking by the offensive line. The line has improved greatly since the beginning of the year. The 7th Eagle defense had held Academy scoreless until they ran a razzle-dazzle play and hit a pass in the middle of the field for a score with just under a minute to go. There were 39 seconds left in the game after the kick off return. Unfortunately there was a turnover giving the ball to Academy. From there a couple of passes by the Bees were broken up by Logan Lee. The third time was a charm as Academy hit a pass up the middle for a score wth two seconds left in the game.
The 7th defense was led by Andrew Lane with 8 tackles, Mueth 7,Miles Hannigan with 7, Bradley Campbell 2, Samuel Meza 2, Tyler Page 3, Brice Shirocky 1, Clay Brockenbush 1, Jason Dube 1, Martin Solis 1, and Antonio Alayon 1.
