Giddings Police Report

September 29, 2009

At approximately 1:20 a.m. Officer Shepard and Officer Connolly received a reckless driver call. The suspect vehicle, driven by Victor Cisneros of Austin, came into town and Officer Shepard began following the vehicle to witness a violation. When he observed a violation, he initiated a traffic stop at the Pizza Hut parking lot. After making contact with Victor, Officer Shepard observed many clues that indicated he may be intoxicated. He conducted tests on Victor and through further investigation it was his determination that Victor was intoxicated and was later arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail for booking.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., Officer Connolly, while on routine patrol in the 300 block of S. Polk and Industry, followed a suspicious vehicle and observed that the vehicle kept driving around in the same area. Officer Connolly conducted a traffic stop on the suspicious vehicle, and upon contact with the driver, Michael Cardenas, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

At approximately 1:38 p.m., Officer Griffin responded to the Golden Chick, located at 615 E. Austin in reference to a suspicious person call-for-service. Contact was made with Adrian Bernard Fisher of Giddings and he was wanted of Lee County for Probation Violation-Failure to Appear for Assault with Injury. He was placed under arrest and taken to the Lee County Sheriff's Office and released.

September 30, 2009

At 9:23 a.m. Officer Griffin initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 1300 block of E. Austin. The driver, Jose Andres Rivera-Medina of Houston, did not possess a drivers license or proof of insurance. The vehicle was impounded and he was cited.

September 30, 2009 At 7:12 a.m., Officer Ramirez was dispatched to 414 Edgewood in reference to a vehicle that struck a mailbox at that residence. Upon arrival, he observed a tan Ford pickup truck stopped in front of the mailbox. The truck was being operated by Wesley Ray who was traveling northbound on Edgewood at the 400 block. He stated that he swerved and struck another vehicle identified as a Blue Ford F-150. A check on Ray's driver license through TCIC and NCIC revealed that it is under SR Suspension, Denied Renewal for Failure to Appear and is Suspended for a mandatory Drug Education class required. Ray was issued a citation and released.

October 3, 2009

At 8:59 p.m., Officer Griffin initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, Lisa Tramaine Wright of Bastrop was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/ Suspended, No Insurance, Expired Registration & Inspection sticker(s). She was taken to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, processed and released.

October 4, 2009

At 2:18 a.m., Officers Griffin and Ramsey responded to 649 Rolling Oaks Drive in reference to a 911 call-for-service. The residents of the location, identified as Angela L. Iselt and Kelly Ray Iselt were both cited for Assault by Contact (Offensive)-Family Violence and were separated.

October 4, 2009

At 7:24 a.m., Officer Connolly was dispatched to the Giddings Police Department in reference to found property. Several attempts were made to contact the property owner, but were unsuccessful. Case still under investigation.

October 4, 2009

At 8:43 p.m. Officer Griffin initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation occurring in the 1500 block of E. Austin. The driver, Cody Wayne Beisert of Giddings was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and taken to the Lee County Sheriff's Office and released.

October 4, 2009

At 3:21 p.m., Detective Corporal Carvin met with Nancy Nahabedian at the Police Department in reference to theft that occurred on September 30. Nancy advised that she had checked into the Economy Inn motel on September 24, and was a vendor at the antique show at Round Top. Nancy reported that on October 1, she went to retrieve her prescription medication from the night stand and discovered that it was missing. Nancy believes the medication was stolen on the day prior, September 30. Case currently under investigation.
