Lee County Animal Welfare League

A new non-profit or 501-(c) 3 organization, Lee County Animal Welfare League, has been formed to assist Lee County cat and dog owners with the cost of spaying/ neutering and vaccinating their pets. There are many unwanted animals euthanized each day, the only way to stop these unnecessary deaths is to spay or neuter. Please do your part!

We are offering Lee County citizens a $25.00 OFF coupon toward the cost of these procedures. The coupons may be obtained at the Lehman Animal Shelter, the Texas Animal Control Officer's Academy or at Moochie Poochie Pet Grooming.

We are also working with the Texas Animal Control Officer's Academy to host a low cost rabies clinic to be held on site in Giddings Saturday, October 10th from 9 am to 12 noon (please see our display ad). A second clinic will be offered at the Lee County Office Building on Hwy. 77, Lexington on Saturday, October 17th 9 am to 12 noon. Cash or checks with ID only, please no credit cards. A rabies vaccination is required by State Law each year. Additional vaccinations will be available, please discuss your needs and the rates with the veterinarian on site.

The current board members are: Robyn Goodson, President; Cille Claxton, Vice President; Jan Cason, Treasurer; Kathi Olechowski, Secretary, Ethel Spence, Marcia Herndon and Mary Koslan.

Your tax-deductible donations may be sent to LCAWL, P. O. Box 1441, Giddings, TX 78947.
