6th Annual Chocolate Lovers Festival Saturday, October 17, 2009 on the Square in Lovely Downtown Lexington

Last year's Chocolate Lovers Festival was a huge success from every account. More vendors lined the streets than in years past and the baking contests pulled in more than 50 entries. Twenty-three youth entries featured everything from brownies to chocolate covered apples.( look on page 4 in this section to see pictures of the youth winners) In the adult entries, 31 people demonstrated their savy when it came to baking chocolate cakes and making delicious chocolate desserts. Once again, Executive Chef Charles Williams from the Texas Chef's Association will be the main judge. He is seen above with the winners of last year's Adult Cake Division contest. Pictured from left to right are Third Place winner Patsy Durkin, Second Place Winner Cindy Gibson, Chef Williams and First Place Winner (for the 3rd time!!) Neil Ahrendt.
