Giddngs scored early in the contest and then literally battled through the second half, using mostly reserves to win. In battling through the second half, hand to hand combat was used at times, with players from both teams getting ejected from the game as the officials let the game get out of hand.

Connor Wehr continues to pass for impressive totals. Wehr connected on 14 of 21 passes for 221 yards, mostly in the first half. The Buff speedsters catch the ball in open space and offer problems for the opposing secondarys. Marcellus Mack caught seven passes for 70-yards. Lance Krause two for 39-yards, and Deladrick Britton two for 61-yards.

Wehr also rushed for 93-yards giving him 313-yards total offense for the night.
