Lady Eagles Bumped by Rogers
The Lexington Lady Eagles fell to their counterparts from Rogers Tuesday night in four games. Rogers is one of the top teams in the district and Lexington pushed them to the limit in three of the four games. Lexington won the first game 26-24 before falling in the next three 18-25, 25-27, and 16- 25.
Coach Tiffany Robertson said, "I feel like all the games except for the fourth game could have gone either way. Rogers just ended up getting one more good play out of it and ended up finishing on top. We played very hard and the girls were extremely pumped up before the game. They kept saying, "man it would feel good to beat them, we got this girls!" I really think attitude won us the first game. The other three, Rogers just out played us by a couple of points. I am still pleased with the girls' performances. They improve every game. We still have a couple of games left in the first half of district and the whole second half. I don't feel like we have peaked yet so I am really excited to see how the girls will finish district play."
