District Court Busy with Multiple Court Dates and Sentencings
On September 17, 2009, with the Honorable Reva Towslee-Corbett presiding, three sentences were handed down in District Court.
Michael Allen Seaton, 19, of Lexington received 5 years probation for Injury to a Child. He was also assessed $3,350 in fines, fees and court costs. He must also take Anger Management and counseling classes and must serve 180 days confinement in Lee County Jail as a condition of probation.
Taylor Kirkland Lindholm, 19, of West Point, Texas, charged with Burglary of a Building and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, received 5 years probation. He was assessed $2,350 in fines and court costs, plus $8,331.64 Restitution. He must perform 200 hours of community service restitution and complete the Central Texas Treatment Center Program.
Jeffrey Deon Barker, 46, of Smithville was sentenced to 120 days confinement in Lee County Jail for Assault-Bodily Injury. He was assessed $700 in court costs.
On September 21, Judge Towswlee-Corbett, presiding over Lee County District Court, sentenced Kenneth Earl Punchard 27, of Giddings to 20 years confinement in Texas Department of Criminal Justice for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Cocaine, 200-400 Grams with Intent to Deliver. He must pay $2,750 in fines and court costs and $140 restitution. He forfeited a 1993 Lexus and $2,292 in U.S. Currency.
Punchard also received a 20 year sentence in Texas Department of Criminal Justice for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Cocaine, 4-200 Grams. In addition to forfeiture of $823 in U.S. Currency, he was assessed $890 in Court Costs, Fees and Restitution.
Warren Bernard Lincecum, age 40, had his original sentence revoked and must serve 6 months confinement in Lee County Jail, plus pay all costs previously assessed and $400 Court Appointed Attorney fee for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
