261 Attend Patschke's 52nd Family Reunion

On September 6, 2009 the descendants of Carl August Patschke and Anna (Mathias) Patschke gathered at the Lexington Memorial Park building for their 52nd annual reunion with 261 in attendance.

Registering the guests were Jeanette (Patschke) Stence and Marilyn (Patschke) Davis. These ladies are great-great granddaughters of Carl and Anna Patschke.

After a brief welcoming message, President Bobby Patschke of Lexington introduced A.P. Patschke of Coupland who sang "How Great Thou Art." This hymn was followed by a prayer offered by Rev. Ed Schneider of San Antonio.

Following the devotional period of singing and a message by Rev. Schneider, gifts were presented to the following: Oldest Woman, Margaret Patschke, age 91 of Taylor; Oldest Man, Alton Behrend, age 88 of Houston; Youngest Child, Adrea Lyons, age 19 months of Hutto; Traveled the Farthest, Amie Gardner of Bedford.

Special thanks to L.L. Schrank of Hamilton and Norine Patschke of Lubbock for their generous monetary gifts.

Winners of the guessing games: "Pieces of Candy" Joshua Dube, "Number of Beans" Ryan Sebesta, "Candy Packages" Matt Hohle.

Thanks were given to all who helped make this a very enjoyable Runion.

President Bobby Patschke announced that there would be a reunion in Thorndale at the Firemens Hall on September 5, 2010, the Sunday before Labor Day.

The officers will be: President Ernest Patschke, Vice President Rubin Patschke, Secretary-Treasurer Gayle Daniell.
