Lady Eagles Fall to Jarrell

by Mike Organ

The Lady Eagles lost a volleyball match to Jarrell Saturday at the APK Recreation Center. Jarrell won the games 24- 26, 20-25, and 12-25. Jarrell was a scrappy team that never once gave up on a ball. "We had a lot of unforced errors, missed serves, and hits that were four or five inches long. We were just off," said Coach Tiffany Robertson. Karley Wren had seven kills to lead Lexington. Angel Parks had four kills. Jessica Parish had 18 digs and Megan Scantlin had six to thwart even more Jarrell points.

The Lady Eagle JV won 25-20 and 25-12 in their match with Jarrell. Robertson said, "I am very pleased with our JV. They have come around and have really started to play good volleyball. They all work hard in practice and their efforts seem to be paying off. The freshmen played very well also. The Frosh took Jarrell to three games but ended up losing 26-28 in the third game.
