The Giddings Buffaloes just barely beat LaVernia Friday night. Giddings trailed 26-27 with just over a minute to go. The game was finished late Friday because of a one-hour delay due to lightening. Quarterback Cameron Wehr completed two almost identical passes to move the Buffs into scoring position and for the score with time running out. After the delay, the coaches agreed to a running clock on out of bounds and incomplete pass plays so fans and players could get home before sunrise.

Giddings gave up two long passes for scores as the Bears scored four touchdowns against the Buff defense. The last coming late in the game before the Buff heroics pulled out the game.
