Eagles Travel to Cameron

To face toughest test so far
by Mike Organ

The Lexington Eagles will face their toughest test of the season Friday night in Cameron. The Yoemen beat Waco Connally and lost to Gatesville. Both opponents are tough 3A teams.

Steven Townsend is the man in Cameron. He is the quarterback that passes well and runs well on designed plays. Townsend is especially talented when the play breaks down. His speed and vision allow him to make a big play from a busted play.

Joining him in the backfield is John Wells. Wells is a very gifted back. He can run with the ball and is equally adept at catching passes. Wells gained only 800+ yards last season due to missing some games due to personal reasons.

The Cameron defense has been tagged for 28 points by Connally and 34 by Gatesville. The Eagles should be able to score points against the Yoe defenders.
