Giddings Police Report

August 31, 2009 At approximately 1:54 p.m., Officer Griffin initiated a traffic stop on a silver BMW 4door for a traffic violation occurring in the 2300 block of E. 290 eastbound. The driver, Michael Cullen Faulkner, Jr. of Houston was placed under arrest for a felony theft warrant out of Harris County and no insurance. He was taken to the Lee County Sheriff's Office and released.

September 1, 2009

Officer Harrison was on routine patrol when he observed a maroon Ford pickup traveling 69 mph in a 55 mph zone. Officer Harrison initiated a traffic stop on the pickup and the driver was identified as Cesar Cardenas. Mr. Cardenas' drivers license was found to be invalid and subsequently Mr. Cardenas was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.

September 3, 2009 At 8:08 p.m., Officer Spencer was dispatched to 916 N. Harris in reference to a theft. Cheryl Partridge reported that sometime between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., someone stole her kids' portable basketball goal that was positioned along the street. The case is currently under investigation.

September 5, 2009

Detective Corporal Carvin was contacted by Lee County Deputy Robertson in reference to assistance with a warrant arrest. Det. Carvin met with Deputy Robertson at 568 N. Waco and was advised that Raul Tello, W/M dob 2/7/1967, had an active warrant for his arrest for violation of a protective order. Raul Tello was later located at the above listed residence and was taken into custody without incident.

September 5, 2009

Complainant at KP Food Store located at 791 E. Austin St. reported that two Hispanic males entered the store during business hours and stole beer. Case pending further investigation.

September 6, 2009

At approximately 1:14 p.m., Officer Griffin initiated a traffic stop on a white Toyota 4-Runner SUV for a traffic violation occurring in approximately the 1300 block of E. 290 westbound. The driver, Michael Jay Flippen of McDade, was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/ Suspended. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and released. No other information.

September 6, 2009

At approximately 5:51 p.m., Officer Griffin initiated a traffic stop on a blue Volvo 4-door for a traffic violation occurring in the 300 block of N. Main. The driver, Anthony Wright Richardson of Giddings, was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/ Suspended and taken to the Lee County Jail. No other information.
