Arvilla Cooper Flow

February 14, 1933 - September 3, 2009

Arvilla Cheak was born on February 14, 1933 in Olustee, Oklahoma. She was one of five children born to the union of Arvil Cheak and Maudie (Stewart) Cheak. Arvilla was married to Eddie Joe Cooper who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Duane Flow, Sr. on February 20, 2006. Arvilla was an active member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church and a housewife and mother that loved to be with her family. She loved arts and crafts and cooking sweets, especially pies. Arvilla died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Scott and White Hospital in Temple at the age of 76 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and son Joe Cooper. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Fannie Barnes and Betty Hournbuckle. Her survivors include; son, Brad Cooper of Minerva; daughters, Shirley Davenport of Minerva and Linda Beard and husband, John of Minerva; brother, Tommy Cheak of Rogers; sister, Patsy Copeland and husband Jerry of Slaton; brother-in-law, Charlie Barnes of Slaton; grandchildren, Summer Davenport of Austin, Michael Davenport of Arizona, Matthew Beard of Addison, Kaeley Beard of Minerva, Jason Cooper of Round Rock, Cathy Anna Cooper of Thorndale, David Cooper of Carrollton, Chris Beard of Minerva, Jason Beard and wife Kelli of Jacksonville, Florida and 8 Great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday at Mt Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Luther Shelander officiating. Burial followed in the Minerva Cemetery in Minerva.
