Forage and Cattle Symposium

A Forage and Cattle Symposium has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, beginning at 6:30 pm, in the Lee County Extension office located at 310 South Grimes, Giddings. Checkin begins at 6:00 pm. Area livestock producers are encouraged to attend.

This live web-cast program will feature:

Dr. Larry Redmon, Extension Forage Specialist, will present information on forage hot topics;

Dr. Tryon Wickersham, Texas A&M University Assistant Professor, will speak on making beef cattle nutrition decisions;

Dr. Don Renchie, Extension Program Leader, Agricultural and Environmental Safety will offer information on laws and regulations for the private pesticide applicator.

Two hours of CEUs will be offered; one hour in General and one hour in Laws and Regulations.

RSVP is required. Please contact the Extension office at 979- 542-2753 to register. The cost is $5 per person which will cover the cost of a meal and program materials.
