Lexington Eagles Have Eagle Pride!

Both the 7th grade and 8th grade girls volleyball teams have large numbers of young ladies in the program this year. Their first practice match was against McDade on Thursday August 27th. The 7th grade girls started first and showed the promise of things to come. Pictured here is 7th grader Kasey Smith. Smithville's #32 was just out of reach of Lexington's JV Eagle Jason Washington in their opening game held last Thursday night at Eagle Stadium. It was a pleasant evening with a good home town crowd turn-out. In Coach Holcomb's first season with a more passingoriented attack, the football was flying around with mixed results. Some really nice catches were made, but it will take time for the offense to get in the rhythm of reading the defense - protecting the passer and finding the open receivers. It was a good outing for the young Eagles. PHOTOS AND CAPTIONS BY MARK STRAIN.
