District Court Busy With Sentencings
With the Honorable Terry Flenniken presiding, eleven individuals were sentenced in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County on August 20, 2009. Jhamal A. Farris, 17, of TYC was sentenced to five years confinement in TDCJ and was assessed $400 Court Appointed Attorney Fee and $300 Court Costs for Assault Against a Public Servant-Bodily Injury-three counts. Braylon Skief, 17 of TYC was sentenced to five years confinement in TDCJ, plus $340 Court Appointed Attorney Fee and $300 Court Costs for Assault Against a Public Servant-Bodily Injury. Three other TYC residents were charged with Harassment by Person in Correctional Facility Against a Public Servant. Matthew T. Ornalez, 19, Rayvon Jamar Smith, 18, and Cameron C. Smith each received four years confinement in TDCJ plus $400 Court Appointed Attorney Fee and $300 Court Costs.
Michael Treon Sanders, 25 of Giddings on a conviction of Burglary of a Habitation-Assault received a sentence of six years confinement, probated six years. He was assessed fees and fines totaling $3,250, ordered to perform 150 hours community service restitution; and complete a Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Treatment Program. Adrian Lewis James, 40, of Giddings received a sentence of three years, probated three years. He was assessed $2,750 in fees and fines and ordered to complete an Anger Management Program.
Maria Anita Martinez, 26, of Giddings, on a charge of Theft by Check-$1,500 - $20,000 received a sentence of two years confinement in TDCJ probated five years; assessed fines and fees totaling $1,750 and ordered to pay $3,698.58 Restitution and must perform 100 hours community service.
Steven Paul Wilson, 48, of Lexington, received a five year probated sentence for Driving While Intoxicated-Subsequent. He was ordered to pay fees and fines totaling $2,450, perform 100 hours community service restitution; and enter and complete a Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Treatment Program, a DWI and Victim Impact Panel Program. Wilson also received ten years probation for Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon-Bodily Injury Against a Public Servant, for which he was assessed fees and fines totaling $1,850 and must perform 300 hours community service restitution.
Matthew Todd Standhart, 42, of Converse, TX received four years probation for Reckless Injury to a Child . He was assessed fees and fines totaling $2,650 and must perform 80 hours community service restitution. Felix Marceau McWilliams, 41, of Toomsuba, MS, received two years probation for Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer and was assessed fees and fines totaling $1,350.
