Alzheimer's Association Holds Lunch N' Learn

More than 5 million people in the United States are currently living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia. In an effort to increase disease awareness, provide community education and support those affected by the disease, the Alzheimer's Association - Capital of Texas Chapter will host an educational Lunch N' Learn in Giddings.

Topics covered in the 90 minute presentation at the Giddings Downtown Restaurant include: What is Alzheimer's disease?; Diagnosis; Disease stages; Coping (fears/hopes); and Medicines/Available treatment.

This program is free of charge. Lunch is provided. Space is limited. Register by calling (800) 367-2132 x15 or send an email to TXPrograms@TXAlz.org. It will take place on Wednesday, September 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Giddings Downtown Restaurant is located at 155 W. Austin in the old Monzi's building.
