Giddings Library Corner

by Loree Rost

Many patrons give memorial books to the Giddings Public Library for their deceased relatives and friends but books can also be donated to remember loved ones who are still alive. Such an honor book is Texas Public Gardens for Royce and Arlene Peschke. The book recognizes and tells about thirty-three public gardens all around the state.

Mr. L. A. Loewe is remembered with a memorial book, The Healthy Back Exercise Book, which looks at the different causes of back pain. It gives many back exercises complete with step-by-step photographs.

Look What You Can Make is a memorial for Ramona McPhail. It contains 18 new techniques and over 150 fun-to-make projects.

Some newly added books to the library include The Healthy Woman-A Complete Guide For All Ages, Until We Reach Home, Bronte, The 5000 Year Leap, and The Rhino With Glue-On Shoes.

Some fiction books are The Heir by Barbara Taylor Bradford, The Host by Stephanie Meyer, and Three Weeks To Say Goodbye by C. J. Box.

America's Regional Quilting is a collection of quilting ideas with over 35 photographs, many fullsize patterns and how-to diagrams.

Leadership by Rudolph Giuliani says leadership is a privilege that carries a lot of responsibilities. Other non-fiction books are Lost Boy by Brent Jeffs and Stop The 401 K Rip-Off!
