By Nita Levy

August 13, members met at the house of Cherry Stover for the Annual meeting for electing new officers and planning next year's trips and programs. Beverly McMurrey will be the president again for a second term. Vice-president will be co-chaired by Pat Rao and Kathi Olechowski. Nita Levy is the new secretary and Pat Ahrendt will be the new treasurer.

A very interesting program was given by long-time member, Lina Murray on "Growing and Preserving Herbs." Her presentation included recipes she uses with herbs in her cooking.

Co-hostesses were Priscilla Brister, Sharon Gibson, Nancy Organ, Pat Rao and Cherry Stover.

The next meeting will be September 10 at 9:30 a.m. It will be hosted by Lee Marks and the program will be given by Kelly Bender of Texas Parks and Wildlife on "Habitats and Wildscapes for Urban, Suburban, and Small Farm Settings."

Co-hostesses are Peggy Marek, Lina Murray, Glenn and Marie Spitzenberger.
