In a battle of evenly matched teams, Rockdale won a four game win over the Lady Eagles in the season opener for both teams. Rockdale took the first two games 25-22 and 25-21. Lexington bouced back to take the third game 25-17. Rockdale took the fourth game and the match with a 25-22 win.

If the two teams played each other 20 times, they would probably split the series 10-10. The Lady Eagles took slim leads in all four games. They were only able to expand the lead in game three. Hitters Ashton Johnston, Stefanie Albreight, and Johna Alford had bright moments in the match. There were some excellent digs on the back row by Megan Scantlin and Jessica Parish.

Coach Tiffany Robertson said the girls played a lot better in the scrimmages than their performance Tuesday night.

The JV Gold and JV Green teams were successful in their matches versus Rockdale. JV Gold won both games 25-18. The JV Green won their match with the Lady Tigers 25-11, 25-13.
