Lillie Annie Kleiber

February 5, 1920 - August 14, 2009

Funeral services for Lillie Kleiber, 89 of Winchester, Texas were held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Giddings with Father Jim Olnhausen officiating. Burial followed in the La Grange City Cemetery.

Mrs. Kleiber passed away Friday morning at Central Texas Hospital in Cameron.

Lillie Annie Krampota Kleiber was born on February 5, 1920 in Elgin, Texas to John & Emily (Dytrich) Krampota. She was united in marriage to Ernst August Kleiber on July 9, 1940 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Smithville. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker who enjoyed ranching. Mrs. Kleiber was also a lifetime member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Giddings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Adolph John Krampota and three sisters, Elsie Krampota Phillips, Frances Kleiber Ryder and Mary Krampota Kendzoria.

Mrs. Kleiber is survived by her husband of 69 years, August "Gus" Kleiber of Winchester; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Clayton & Pat Kleiber of Winchester, Leroy & Nilsa Kleiber of Kingwood and Eugene & Marjorie Kleiber of Milano; 6 grandchildren, Mike & Mary Kleiber of New Waverly, Greg & Jeri Kleiber of San Antonio, Randy & Deborah Kleiber of Brenham, Jennifer & Pat Smith of Houston, Wendy & Jon Bradley of Round Rock and Sandy & Earl Ewald of Liberty Hill; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Kleiber, Greg Kleiber, Randy Kleiber, Pat Smith, Jon Bradley and Earl Ewald.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
