Suspected Twister Topples Trees
A suspected twister toppled two large branches off two mature trees last Wednesday, August 12, evening at the residence of Gary and Beverly Iselt off CR 405 east of Lexington. "The winds were blowing from every direction," said Beverly. "You can tell from the way those limbs look that they were twisted off the main trunk of that oak and that elm."
Both limbs landed on top of the family's roof. Several other trees in their pasture sustained damage as well. The Iselts think they got up to three inches of rain during the welcomed, but fierce storm.
Beverly is seen in the picture at the left with her granddaughter, Chrisha Pool.
