Rojelio "Roy" Olivares Correa

January 29, 1948 - August 7, 2009

Rojelio "Roy" Olivares Correa was born January 29, 1948 in Dilley, Texas to Andreas and Francisca Olivares Correa. On June 14, 1972 he was united in marriage to Maria Elena Garza and was a lifelong farmer and rancher.

Mr. Correa passed away early Friday morning at Oakland Manor Nursing Center in Giddings after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Mr. Correa was preceded in death by his mother and father and a brother, Manuel Correa.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Correa of Dime Box; daughters, Evelyn and Manuel Rodriguez and family of Giddings, Triny Correa and Paul Sifuentes and family of Giddings and Jovita Correa and daughter of Dime Box; sons, Roy Andrew and Cossette Paige and family of Mauspa, La., Charles Adam and Diane Correa and family of Giddings, Rojelio Jr. and Diana Correa and family of Batesville, Texas and Dagoberto and Maribel Correa and family of Batesville, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jimmy Correa, Daria Rodriguez, Eva and Feliberto Sepeda, Maria Fira and George and Irma Correa as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Rojelio "Roy" Correa, 61 of Dime Box, Texas were held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dime Box with Father Ramon D. Frayna officiating. Burial followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Dime Box.

Serving as pallbearers were Michael Correa, David Correa, Juan DeLaSantos, Ramiro Sandoval, Rojelio Correa Jr., Dagoberto Correa, Manuel Rodriguez and Paul Sifuentes. Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Correa, Dago Correa, Edward Caserez, Ean Nava, Cesar Rodriguez, Chris Sifuentes, Joseph Sifuentes, Anthony Sifuentes and Donovan Correa.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House.
