The first inductee from the Bryan/College Station area is Mike Wright, the vice president and general manager of KBTX-TV. Wright is a graduate of Blinn College and Baylor University. He is also the president of Blinn's Brazos County Advisory Committee.

Other honorees include Bryan Rothermel, a Blinn graduate, who retired from his position as first vice president Germania Insurance in Brenham after more than 40 years with the company.

Dr. Deanna Alfred has been the Brenham Independent School District assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction since 1989. She is a graduate of Blinn College, the University of Texas, the University of North Texas, and Texas A&M University.
