Sheriff 's Report

July 27, 2009

Deputy York assisted with funeral escort form Martin Luther Church to City Cemetery.

Sheriffs' office received a call from an individual that stated her son had run over his girlfriend, but no additional information was available. The girlfriend supposedly lives in Buffalo, Texas.

Deputy Lapham and Deputy York assisted D.P.S in traffic control on Highway 290 West to get measurement on fatality Accident.

Sheriff Meyer, Chief Deputy Kothmann, Deputy Lapham, Deputy York, and Deputy Robertson assisted D.P.S with traffic control on a two vehicle fatality accident 290 West of Giddings.

July 28, 2009

Deputy York responded to a Burglary Alarm call in Dime Box, every thing was secure on the Building.

A complainant called in regards to neighbors cattle getting onto his place, Deputy Lapham made the call.

Cattle were reported out on CR 216 just passed CR 217, Deputy York was dispatched.

Deputy Kothmann was dispatched on two head of cattle being out on Highway 21, West of Elm Creek.

A caller reported two suspicious young men walking around on C.R. 214, Deputy Kothmann was dispatched.

It was report that a juvenile was riding a 4 wheeler along the ditch on Highway 290 and Cr 205, Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Robertson responded and were unable to locate anyone.

A call was received from the Police Department that a man is walking on CR 226 wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Robertson were dispatched, found the individual and determined that the subject was out jogging.

July 29, 2009

Deputy Lapham was dispatched to a bull out on FM1624 near CR 323.

Deputy Lapham assisted with funeral escort and traffic control from Blue United Church to the Burns Cemetery.

Deputy Durrenberger responded to a reported accident of a Volkswagen losing control running in a ditch hitting a tree. The vehicle was pulled out by a motorist prior to Deputy Durrenberger arriving. No damage was done to any property.

Sheriffs' office received a call reference to a suspicious vehicle on CR 133, Deputies Aderhold, Easley and Durrenberger responded. The suspicious vehicle was registered to some one in Giddings.

Deputy Aderhold was dispatched to a stranded motorist with a flat tire on Highway 290 near CR 201.

A call was received of a suspicious vehicle on CR 309, Deputy Aderhold was dispatched.

Deputy Aderhold and Deputy Crockett were dispatched to a domestic disturbance on CR 130 where it was reported knives and guns were involved. The call was cancelled but deputies continued on the call.

July 30, 2009

911 Dispatch received a call from lady that was screaming then phone was disconnected. Deputy Lapham and Deputy Crockett were dispatched. Investigation revealed an argument between family members. No charges filed.

Deputy Crockett investigated Criminal Mischief at the Westwood Villa Apartments where 4 tires were slashed.

Deputy Lapham assisted with stranded motorist Highway 77 North. A wrecker was called to the scene.

Deputy Lapham and Durrenberger responded to a residential alarm. Investigation revealed that plumbers were doing work on the residence.

A call was received about a suspicious vehicle on FM 180 with a man standing by the vehicle drinking beer all afternoon. Deputy Lapham was dispatched and contacted family members to come to the scene to pick up the man.

Burleson County called about reckless driver heading into Lee County; Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to the scene and was unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputy Easley reported a grass fire on Highway 77 North, was able to put the fire out. He also found a disabled trailer that may have caused the fire.

Deputy Easley was dispatched to cattle out on CR 318, the land owner was notified.

July 31, 2009

Deputy Lapham responded to disturbance in Lexington.

Deputy Lapham and Crockett assisted with traffic accident Highway 21 in Dime Box involving 2 vehicles.

Sheriff office received a call about 2-3 kids roaming around the Dime Box School shooting B-B guns. Deputy Kothmann and Deputy Lapham were dispatched but were unable to locate the kids.

Deputy Easley was dispatched to civil stand-by where a mother wanted to pick up her kids.

Sheriff's Office received a call of accident on FM 619, exact location was unknown, and Deputy Easley was dispatched and located the accident in Williamson County.

Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to a burn ban violation on Highway 77, the violators were told to extinguish the fire.

A report of Juveniles racing 4 wheelers up and down CR 138, Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched and was unable to locate the juvenile on the County Road.

Deputy Easley was unable to locate a horse out on the road Highway 77 North.

August 1, 2009

Suspicious activity was reported on CR 207 with lots of loud noises of people yelling, Deputy Easley and Durrenburger were dispatched and were unable to locate.

Deputy Crockett responded to a small dark suspicious vehicle on CR 204.

Deputy Crockett was dispatched to a 911 hang-up in Lincoln. The deputy went to the 911 address and no one was at home and was probably phone problems.

A welfare concern was called into the Sheriffs office about not being able to contact her husband. Deputy Robertson was dispatched to the residence and talked to the husband informing the Deputy that he had been sleeping.

Deputy Robertson and Crockett investigated illegal dumping on CR 326, dumping tires in the caller's front yard.

Deputy Robertson investigated a Theft of Air Conditioners from a residence on FM 180.

Deputy Easley responded to cattle on road on F.M. 696 West of Lexington. The cow was put up and the owner notified of a hole in his fence.

Deputy Durrenberger transported one person to Austin State Hospital.

Deputy Carvin was dispatched to CR 208 near the winery for cow out on roadway.

Deputies Durrenberger, Carvin and Easley were dispatched to four males fighting inside the Sons of Herman Hall.

August 2, 2009

Bastrop County called the Sheriffs office that a female was in the Hospital in Bastrop that had been a victim of an assault in Lee County. Deputy Robertson was dispatched to investigate the Assault. Charges are pending upon the completion of the investigation.

Sheriffs' office received a report of people on horses blocking lanes of traffic. Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to the call.

A report of criminal mischief was reported on CR 118 where tires were slashed. Investigation revealed that the tires were not slashed but just had gum on the side of the tires.
