Dear Editor:

I have something to say about our local police department. Their cars are mostly black so they are very hard to see in the dark at night. I get up to go to work earlier than probably 98% of the town so I have more occasion to see them in the dark. Many times I have stopped at the intersection of Loop 123 and Highway 77 on the north end of town on my way to work. Suddenly, out of the night comes a wall of red lights as another speeder trying to sail through town gets caught in the throngs of a radar gun. I have only one thing to say about this practice in our little town. THANK YOU. It DOES get around that you are out there and the traffic does slow down coming through our town.
