Local Boy Scouts donate to Butler family

The Capitol Area Council Boy Scouts of America and the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas have teamed up for the 2009 Scouting for FOOD Drive.

The Lexington Cub Scout Pack 142 will be collecting non-perishable food items on Saturday, July 25, 2009 starting at 9 a.m. They will also be taking up a collection for the Mike and Casey Butler Family who lost their home to a fire on July 3, 2009.

The Scouts will be going door to door collecting the bags of food and other items donated to the Butler family. If your food items are in plastic bags, the Scouts will recycle the bags.

If you would like to bring the items to the First Baptist Church in Lexington. The Scouts will be at the Church at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday the 25th.
