Giddings Library News Corner

Stop by the Giddings Public Library soon and check out some books to read during the summer heat. Above The Law by Tim Green takes place in Dallas and features Casey Jordan who operates a legal aid clinic. Chasing a supposed accidental death of an illegal Mexican, she soon discovers it is actually a case of murder.

Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich is a typical Stephanie Plum novel involving several weird and unusual characters. Borderline by Nevada Barr is a Ranger Anna Pigeon novel set in The Big Bend Park in Texas.

Fools Rush In by Ed Gorman is a mystery featuring Sam McClain, a small-town detective. Blood And Bone, by William Lashner is a bestselling novel about a young man forced to confront the dark truths of his past. Some other new books are According To Their Deeds by Paul Robertson, Bleeding Heart Square by Andrew Taylor, Whisper To The Blood by Dana Stabenow, Paths Of Glory by Jeffrey Archer, and Kiss by Ted Dekker.

David Rollins has written a

Knife Edge about a murder that leads into a world of conspiracy, cover-up and military secrecy.

Execution Dock by Anne Perry is a commander William Monk of the River Police novel. Other new books are Temptation And Surrender by Stephanie Laurens, Don't Look Twice by Andrew Gross, Fault Line by Barry Eisler, and The Second Opinion by Michael Palmer.

The Library is open Monday through Friday, 10 to 6; Saturdays 10 to 1 and closed on Sundays.
