Not pictured is Mackenzie Brown. The summer basketball teams coached by Byron Wren had a very productive summer. The boys finished 8-4 for the season. Lexington was very competitive in the league. The flow of the games was very fast paced which helps the incoming freshmen get used to the difference in the speed of the high school game. There was no tourney at the end of the season which ran for the month of June.

The girls finished 6-2 for the season. The top four teams at the end of the season were: Cameron 8-0, Thorndale 7-1, Lexington, and Rockdale 5-3. Only the top four teams went into the end of the season tourney. Lexington lost to Thorndale in the tourney opener. The Lady Eagles came back and beat Rockdale in the 3rd place game.

In the volleyball competition, the Lady Eagle girls were eliminated in the first round of play in the two-night tourney. The girls improved greatly as the summer season progressed. The Lady Eagles will be looking to an improved season record this fall.

Parents and players would like to thank those that took of their time to be coaches in the summer leagues.
