Clayton Alton Evans
Clayton was born September 26, 1968 in Cameron. He was a member of Apostolic Faith Church in Rockdale. Clayton became a police officer in 1994 starting in Caldwell. He then served his community as a Sergeant with Rockdale Police Department. He volunteered at Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 19 and served 20 years. Certified rescue diver, EMT and worked at ALCOA until he was disabled. Clayton worked with the Little League.
Clayton passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009 near Sharp, Texas reaching the age of 40.
Surviving are three sons, Derek Ross Evans, Nicolas Clay Evans and Spencer Evans also, their mother Ann Marie Story Evans all of Rockdale. His parents, Nancy and Ken Clark of Rockdale. Brothers, Marcus Evans and wife Delanie of Katy, Richard Evans and wife Denise of Rockdale, James Thompson of Rockdale, Travis Clark of El Campo, Thomas Thompson of Rockdale, Lee Clark and wife Wendy of Katy and Cory Rogers, who also recently passed away. Sister, Wendy Praesel of Rockdale. Extended family, Raymond and Shirley Story of Rockdale, Wayne and Janice Rogers of Rockdale. Nine nieces and one nephew.

Services for Clayton were held on June 25, 2009 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home and burial in Murray Cemetery near Rockdale with Rev. Barry Methvin officiating.
