The Red Hat Ladies

The Red Hat Ladies are a sight to see when they gather Friday afternoons at Johnny's Restaurant on the Square in Lexington. Not only are they breathtaking in their beautiful regalia, but they exude an atmosphere of fun and frivolity! This is a group of women who have been meeting for five years now, and are "favorites" in the Lexington Homecoming Parade, having won first place in the float division for four out of five years that they have entered. Since these pictures speak louder than words, enjoy, and if you want to join, just meet up with them at 4 o'clock any Friday afternoon at Johnny's.

According to the Red Hat Society's website, "We are the ones enjoying life to the fullest, no matter where we are or what we are doing! We are the mothers, daughters and grandmothers, of society. Some may ask, 'What do you do?' The answer is... We do exactly what we wish to do."
