Free Homebuying, Selling Informative Event Saturday

With so much confusion circulating on the economy and national real estate market, Here & Now Facts About Homeownership in Central Texas is the first real estate forum bringing real estate experts and local homeowners together to discuss homeownership in today's market.

Real estate experts will speak on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Doubletree Hotel, 6505 North IH-35 in Austin. This free educational event is open to the public.

Here & Now will provide local homeowners the facts to make informed decisions about buying and selling real estate in Central Texas.

Presenters will include Jim Gaines, economist at the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University to provide an in-depth look at the Central Texas economy and real estate market; Scott Norman, vice president of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, to discuss recent changes in the mortgage lending industry in Texas and tips for choosing a lender; Ed Clark, Austin Energy Communications Director to discuss green energy incentives available to homeowners; and Kendra Todd, national real estate expert and host of HGTV's My House is Worth What?, providing guidance on cost-efficient upgrades to increase home value.

The event is sponsored by AustinHomeSearch.com and the Austin Board of REALTORS®, a non-profit, voluntary organization representing more than 8,000 licensed REALTORS® in Central Texas.
