Hill Country Peaches Still Available

There are a few surviving peach varieties of the April 7th frost in the Hill Country. Growers are picking varieties such as BlazePrince, Ruston Red, and Redskin have a small crop of fruit on them now and into July. The fruit has outstanding flavor this year.

Currently, many roadside peach stands and orchards also have fresh vegetables and blackberries along with the peaches for sale.

And of course peach growers are always happy to share their prize-winning recipes for peach cobbler!

It is recommended that customers contact growers individually to determine each orchard's availability of their local produce and peaches. Please refer to www.texaspeaches.com for a list of certified Hill Country fruit growers and hours and what days they are open.
