Summer-Fall Classes with the American Red Cross of Central Texas Now Available

As more Central Texans turn out to area pools, rivers and lakes, or gather for family events this summer, the need for essential lifesaving and caregiving skills has never been more in demand.

The American Red Cross of Central Texas offers first aid, caregiving, water safety and instructor courses to keep the whole family trained and prepared to respond in any situation. From CPR or administering emergency oxygen to basic water rescue. the latest summer and fall courses have been announced and are available for immediate registration.

Also back by popular demand is the Babysitter Bootcamp, with three separate sessions running throughout the summer. The program transforms young people 11- 15 years old into the best babysitters in Central Texas. Not only does the class develop leadership and prompt decision-making skills, it also provides young people with CPR, First Aid and Water Safety Skills that can be applied to real life situations. Plus trained babysitters can usually earn more dollars, a great deal for young people in today's economy.

All Red Cross courses provide the most vigorous training and certification and are designed to train individuals of all ages and skill levels. Further, anyone interested in becoming an instructor for the Red Cross can get started immediately with an array of training courses like lifeguarding, water safety and CPR and first aid.
