May 25, 2009

Deputy Easley searched Hwy 77 South for a red two-door car that was reported to be weaving on the roadway. The vehicle was located and the driver was sleepy and will be stopping in Giddings to get some rest.

A motorist reported three calves out on CR 347. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched.

Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a resident on CR 213 who advised that she did not know what was going on but her neighbor called her and said it was an emergency and they needed their power cut off. Chief Deputy Kothmann was on his way to see what the emergency was but was disregarded after the neighbor called back and said everything was okay.

Deputy Carvin spoke to a nurse from St. Joseph's hospital in Bryan regarding a small child being bit by a dog. The bite occurred on CR 324 in Lincoln. A report was made.

A caller reported that a black Isuzu Rodeo was on Hwy 77 N heading south and was driving in oncoming traffic and speeding. Lexington Police Dept. clocked the vehicle at 90 mph and pulled the driver over. The driver began to resist and Deputy Carvin and Deputy Pettijohn were enroute to assist. The driver was arrested and booked into jail.

The Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 call regarding a possible over dose in Dime Box. Deputy Easley was dispatched to the call.

Deputy Easley and Deputy Carvin were dispatched to a disturbance on PR 4511 after a caller reported a female on her property causing problems and refusing to leave. The subject was issued a criminal trespass warning.

Deputy Pettijohn checked out a residence on PR 7039 after the resident reported hearing a prowler outside her residence.

A caller reported suspicious activity on FM 141. It was reported that a blue Suburban pulled over on the side of the road, and a person hopped the fence and was walking towards some trailer houses. Deputy Lapham was dispatched and searched the area for the vehicle.

Deputy Easley spoke to a complainant who reported that her adult son had pushed her down and caused her to hit her head. A report was made and charges are pending.

A caller advised that someone had backed into his vehicle and caused damage to the side panel. The vehicle had been parked on private property. Deputy Durrenberger responded and gave the driver a blue form to fill out for his insurance.

Deputy Durrenberger took a report from a female who stated that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. She advised that the incident occurred out on FM 141. Charges are pending at this time.

A caller reported hearing noises like someone was walking on the roof of her house. Deputy Durrenberger searched the perimeter of the house and did not locate anything unusual.

A female spoke to Deputy Durrenberger about harassing phone calls she is receiving from her ex-husband. A report was made and charges were filed.

A mobile caller reported a male subject standing on the side of the road on Hwy 77 near FM 3403 with two large tires next to him and no vehicle is in sight. Deputy Aderhold was dispatched and spoke to the man. Everything was okay.

Deputy Lapham put up several black calves out on CR 114 near Hwy 21.

Deputy Robertson and Deputy Durrenberger assisted at the scene of an accident on FM 2440.

Burleson County reported a reckless driver on CR 132 heading to CR 124 into Lee County. Deputy Durrenberger was given a description of the vehicle but was unable to locate anything matching the description given.

A resident came to the Sheriff's Office to file a report with Deputy Lapham regarding his lost or possibly stolen wallet.

The Sheriff's Office received a call from St. Joseph Hospital in Caldwell regarding a minor child with a dog bite. Deputy Durrenberger checked on the matter and spoke to the owner of the dogs.

Several motorists reported a man walking in the outside westbound lane of traffic on Hwy 290 West just east of CR 203. Deputy Robertson and Deputy Durrenberger searched the area but were unable to locate the subject.

Deputy York and Deputy Durrenberger were dispatched to a burglar alarm on Hwy 21. The business was secure and the owner was notified.

A resident in Dime Box spoke to Deputy York regarding their dog that was found shot. A report was made and investigation continues.

A caller reported that she is renting a house to a couple and they were arguing and the female left. She asked the male subject to leave but he is refusing. Deputy Carvin and Deputy Easley responded but spoke to the owner of the house and advised her it was a civil matter.

Deputy Carvin was dispatched to put up five head of cattle out on CR 124. The cows ran off the roadway into a wooded area.

A resident in Lexington called and stated that she heard strange noises just outside her residence again. She believes there is a prowler outside. Deputy Pettijohn searched her residence again and reported to dispatch he did not see anything unusual.

Sheriff Meyer and Deputy Durrenberger assisted on an ambulance call on Hwy 77 South. The caller had a large laceration to her leg and needed someone to go into her residence and let them know.

A caller reported to Deputy Easley that a male subject took a small razor blade and scratched his vehicle. A report was made and case is still under investigation.

The Sheriff's Office received a call from a security company advising of a residential burglar alarm. Deputy Easley was dispatched.

Deputy Easley assisted with a civil standby at a residence while a mother picked up her daughter from her ex-husband.

A motorist reported that a Ford Expedition attempted to pass him and in the process struck his tractor. The license plate was given to Deputy Carvin. The caller advised that the vehicle pulled over on the side of the road and the driver was on her cell phone. A few minutes later a black sedan showed up on scene and picked up the driver and three passengers. The female subject was located and arrested.

Deputy Robertson was dispatched to CR 203 regarding goats out on the roadway. The caller advised that they belong in Bastrop County on Paffen Road. Bastrop County was notified.

The Lee County Dispatchers for the month of May received 316 calls for service. The Sheriff's office investigated three Assaults, one Burglary, two Thefts and one Motor Vehicle Theft.
