More than 100 people attended the Memorial Day Barbecue Dinner provided by members of the American Legion in Lexington last week. The turn out was excellent, considering this was the first time the former military service members held this event, meant entirely to honor those men and women who served this great country. Bobbie Rodgers, Commander of the Lexington Post, is seen standing near a table and flags honoring those missing in action. He is reading an explanation of each item on the table and surrounding it. This is a moving presentation that most military men and women are very familiar with. At the left, the ladies who worked very hard to help prepare the meal for the guests of the Legion.
