Bubba was born and died at 6:05 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa.

He is survived by his parents, Gary & Jamie Baxter Jr. of Gardendale; his sister, Devan Nicole Baxter of Gardendale; his grandparents, Elaine Gonzalez and husband, Johnny of Giddings and Gary & Rhonda Baxter of Smithville; his great grandmothers, Rebecca Field of Camp Wood and Maureen Baxter of Smithville as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members.

Funeral services for Gary Wayne "Bubba" Baxter III, infant son of Gary & Jamie (Raiford) Baxter Jr. of Gardendale, Texas, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Giddings City Cemetery with Ken Pierce officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help the family offset final expenses.
