Giddings Library News

Jane Ann Krentz is very popular with patrons at the Giddings Public Library so they should look forward to her latest, Running Hot. Taking place mostly in Hawaii, it is a romantic suspect featuring members of the Arcane Society, a secret paranormal organization.

Arctic Drift (hardback and CD) by Clive Cussler and his son, Dirk Cussler, is a thrilling adventure story featuring Dirk Pitt and Al Giordino involved in looking for a mysterious slivery metal in the cold Arctic. The Pagan Stone by Nora Roberts is Book 3 in The Sign Of Seven Triology. Some other new books are Deadly Night by Heather Graham, Eclipse by Richard North Patterson, and The Independence Of Miss Mary Bennett by Colleen McCullough.

The Rustler by Linda Lael Miller happens in Stone Creek and is a romance about Wyatt Yarbco and Sarah Tamlin. Born To Run by James Grippando is an action packed thriller featuring his popular hero, Jack Swyteck in a dangerous story of intrigue and murder about the President and Vicepresident of the U. S. Some other fiction books are The United States Of Atlantis by Harry Turtledove, One Tuesday by Karen Kingsbury, and Break Neck by Erica Spindler.

Some non-fiction books are Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, Humor For The Holidays, The Work From Home Handbook, Spanish-English Housekeeping, and The Pastor's Wife by Dianne Fanning.

The Library is open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and closed on Sundays. Storytime is held every Wednesday for children ages 3 - 6 from 10:30 - 11 a.m.
